Arajin from Bucchigiri?! is the last time a protagonist made me rage and almost drop the show.

Everything he does is pathetic, selfish, clueless, uncaring and mean-spirited, and in the few times he doesn't, it feels random and unearned.

@awesomeoppy I wrote two mc because how slow the romantic progression was. I am not biggest fan of Kimi but she (& childhood friend) is only half intresting thing about the show.

Jiu Ji-tae from fight class 3, he was likable at some point then the writer butchered the heck out of him and drastically turn the mc from a good kid to literally a psychopath in just a few chapter.

Actually, the WORST protagonist, hands down, is that guy in Harem in a Labyrinth of Another World. You guys can stop complaining about Rudeus. This trash makes him a Saint. Buying girls for sex slaves was the least of it, too. And he was the "Hero."

Wanted to say Kazuya from Rent a Girlfriend but it's too obvious and easy

So this time i'm throwing Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling to the row, i really wanted to give SL a chance since i saw only praises and roses about it... They lied to me, Jinwoo is nothing more than a blatant ripoff of Kirito (i know that Kirito's not the most loved MC here but at least Kawahara tried to develop him after Aincrad), Jinwoo became so static to some point of SL story and never got out there

Even for me who loves the "MC is unbeatable" trope, Jinwoo felt sooo artificial to me, he's truly the living cliché where he beats every monster effortlessly and gets all the girls with zero self-awareness, zero emotional struggles, zero interesting stuff, zero everything

has no redeeming feature other than a plot device to explain the power system and the lore. Doesn't have common sense and keeps talking and monologuing. everyone is more interesting than this mc

Of the shows I've watched (and dropped) Probably either Touma from Magical Index, or that boy from Seikon no Qwasar. I vaguely recall the protagonist of Kampfer also being insufferable but I barely remember that series so I hesitate to add him to the list seriously.
